Featured in 2011 in the Mustang – the Ford F-150, the 5.0L Coyote V8 quickly gained popularity for its impressive reliability and performance.

A refresh in 2015 paved the way for the third-generation Coyote, which debuted in 2018.  Notable upgrades, including port fuel injection and a redesigned engine block designed for both the Mustang and F-150 . Despite sharing the similar architecture, some differences for the truck—most notably, the F-150 version retained its flex-fuel and E85 compatibility, acknowledging  Ford’s effort to optimize the engine for different applications.

The 3rd gen 5.0L Coyote V8 engine equipped with direct injection, specifically found in the 2018 and newer Ford F-150 models. This version of the Coyote was designed to enhance power, efficiency, and durability for the demands of modern pickup performance.
